                  SUMMER LITERACY CAMP

Saskatchewan Ministry of Education 


                       Summer Employment
 
Positions:   2 - 4 Literacy Camp Coordinators
                   (Teachers or Support Staff)
Term:          Summer 2025  (July 7- August 1)
     
 Dates to be determined     
 Four hours per day for a total of 10 days (first set July 7 – 18, second set July 21 – August 1)
 Salary:        $25.00 per hour
 
We are proud to partner with Saskatchewan Ministry of Education to
Provide Literacy Camps for youth ages 5 – 12! 
This is not a summer school but rather a Literacy Camp.
 
The Literacy Camp Coordinators will be expected to work as a small, independent team to deliver a diverse array of literacy-based camp activities in a safe, caring and fun-filled environment.  The Coordinators must be prepared to demonstrate initiative and creativity to engage the community, and involve parents, elders and other community members in the camp curriculum. 
 
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS (all positions)
• Day-to-day planning and organizing of camp activities
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all camp participants during camp hours
• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with community members, and soliciting their participation in the camps
• Maintaining accurate camp records as required
• Maintaining a social media presence and communicating camp details in a timely manner
• Ensuring adherence to all program directives and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
• Attend and participate in all camp orientation, training and evaluation sessions

Light of Christ Catholic Schools (LOCCS) invites applications to fill a Temporary Full-time Groundskeeper position in North Battleford, SK.
The position, unless otherwise agreed to, will run from May 1 to August 31, 2025.  

Pay:  $20.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Groundskeeper shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
·         Ensure that all school division buildings have safe, well-kept yards. This includes grass cutting and the maintenance of playgrounds, tracks and perimeter fencing.
·         Assist the Facilities department with other maintenance projects (i.e. painting, cleaning, moving furniture, etc.)
·         Maintain school division equipment and tools (i.e. lawn tractor, grass trimmer, trailer, etc.)
·         Conduct oneself in a manner appropriate for an individual employed by an educational system that provides services to children.
·         All other duties as assigned by the Facilities Coordinator
 
Required Education, Abilities, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
·         Maintenance and painting experience would be an asset.
·         Hold a valid driver’s license.
·         Ability to do medium/heavy work (exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).
·         Have proven skills and abilities through reference or previous work experience.
