Equivalent Experience Comparable to 24 Semester Units Considerations:

•  1 semester unit is generally 15 hours per the Child Development Permit Professional Growth Manual. Local options might include but are not limited to:

             •    Time working in a preschool or private childcare with preschool aged children

             •     A combination of semester units and work experience

             •     A degree in Early Childhood including an AA/AS, BA/BS, Masters, and/or Ph.D.

Grandfathered to meet requirements:

•         Individual taught TK on or before July 1, 2015
