    Description: 
    Occupational Therapist
     
    To provide occupational therapy services to students in LIU 12.  
     
     
    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
     
    As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within the LIU, this position is vital in supporting the educational environment by providing expert assistance to licensed occupational therapists. The primary responsibility is to implement therapeutic interventions, individualized treatment plans, and activities that promote students' functional independence and participation in the school setting under the direction of the supervising licensed Occupational Therapist in all tasks and job functions. 
     
    Qualifications: 
    Occupational Therapist
     
    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's degree preferred.
    • NBCOT certified and Pennsylvania state license in Occupational Therapy required
    • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
    • Must provide prompt, professional and courteous responses to all inquiries from internal and external customers.
    • Must possess proactive problem-solving skills 
     
    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
     
    • Associate’s and/or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance
    • National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certified and Pennsylvania state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
    • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
    • Must be proactive in problem-solving  
    Terms: Full-time, 188 days

    Salary:  
    For an Occupational Therapist
     
    LIUEA Pay Scale (Min. $48,157 Bachelor's Degree; Min $53,450 Master's Degree) plus excellent benefits
     

    For a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
     
    $28.50/hr plus excellent benefits
