To provide varied counseling services to children and youth in grades PK-12. The certified School Counselor collaborates with others to meet student needs in the areas of academics, career planning and personal-social development.

Qualifications:
• Valid Pennsylvania Specialist Certification:Elementary and Secondary School Counselor PK-12 or Elementary School Counselor K-6 and Secondary School Counselor 7-12
• Master's degree 
• Minimum of three years of school counseling, preferred
• Competency in Microsoft suite of products and Google Drive
Terms of Employment:
    Full-time, 188 days

Salary:
   LIUEA pay scale, (Bachelors min. $48,157; Masters min. $53,450) plus benefits*

Description: 
The School Social Worker will work to enhance students’ educational progress. This person will provide counseling, instruction, consultation, collaboration, assessments and monitoring services for LIU and/or district designated students, their families and the staff who support them. The School Social Worker will help students benefit from their educational program. The services of the School Social Worker are delivered as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
 
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Current Pennsylvania Department of State issued license as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience
Terms: Full-time, 188 days/year

Salary Schedule: LIUEA pay scale (minimum $47,157), plus benefits

*The LIU offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, including:
• Medical (for a nominal premium), dental and vision insurance. Dental & Vision are at no cost to the employee
• All full-time professional staff receive a $45,000 life insurance policy, at no cost to the employee.

• Full-time employees who are scheduled for 188 days/year receive 10 sick days and 3 personal days. If hired after the start of any year, the leave is prorated.
