Job Title:    Food Service Substitute Worker (Temporary as Needed)
  
Qualifications:
•  Ability to read and write
•  Ability to follow oral and/or written communications
•  Ability to learn and follow prescribed preparation, meal service, cleanup, sanitation and safety methods
•  Ability to inventory and record information accurately
•  Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with those standards adopted by the Lexington School District Four Food and Nutrition Services Department
•  Ability to lift and move 35-50 pounds routinely

Reports To: On-Site Food Service Manager 
 
Job Goal: The person in this position is responsible for carrying out the duties assigned by the Food Services Manager in providing quality meal service to customers.
 
Performance Responsibilities:
•   Fill food service department absences as needed
•   Follow written and/or oral instructions
•   Practice sound sanitation and safety practices
•   Participate in planned training activities as assigned
•   Adhere to established work times and schedules
•   Comply with all policies and guidelines established by the Food and Nutrition Services Coordinator
•   Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Physical Requirements:  Requires medium work that involves walking, standing, stooping, crouching, stretching or lifting all of the time and also involves exerting between 35 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis, or considerable skills, adeptness and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs in tasks involving very close tolerances or limits of accuracy.

Pay:  $10.48 / hour
 
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy.
