Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a Affective Needs (AN) Teacher at Ray E. Kilmer Elementary School beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a current Colorado license with appropriate endorsement requirements. Must have a solid foundation in supporting students with social and emotional challenges and a genuine understanding of the developmental needs of elementary school students with special needs. Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 17 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 18, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866, this position also qualifies for an additional .2 FTE towards pay. This position includes a $2,000 bonus, with $1,000 paid in the October 2025 paycheck and the remaining $1,000 paid in the March 2026 paycheck. Additionally, this position qualifies for an extra 0.2 FTE, bringing the total compensation to 1.2 FTE.
*A one time hard-to-fill bonus of $2,500 -$1250 to be paid in October 2025 paycheck, and $1250 paid in March 2026 paycheck.
Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance.
