Central Catholic Jr/Sr. High School:
Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School, established in 1957, is a Roman Catholic Jr./Sr. High school, grades 7-12 serving the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana. Central Catholic is an A-rated school by the Indiana Department of Education and has approximately 450 students. Central Catholic graduates 100% of its students and has over 90% move on to college. 

Job Description
School Interventionists are to provide services to at-risk students.  They work under direction of the Teacher of Record in the building.

Qualifications:                              
Highly Qualified – Hold a valid Indiana Teaching License
Mid-Range Qualified – Hold any bachelor’s degree
Para Status – Passed ParaPro or has 60 College Credits

Responsibilities
• Work with students in classrooms or in the resource room according to the guidance of the Teacher of Record. 
• Assist in providing modifications and accommodations to students based on their Service Plan. 
• Provide individual or small group instruction to at-risk students as directed. 
• Maintain confidentiality. 
• Assist in collecting progress monitoring data.
• Aid in collecting data for upcoming Service Plan Case Conferences. 
• Assist student learning as directed by the TOR.

JOB SUMMARY: The Lafayette Catholic School System (LCSS) has an opening for a full or part-time highly motivated, qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher to work with students who have learning, mental, or emotional disabilities. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with these students to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes their academic, social, and emotional growth. You will collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other specialized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
• Develop and implement effective and engaging teaching strategies and instructional materials that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs and other specialized learning plans.
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies and instructional materials as needed.
• Provide individual and group instruction, support, and guidance to students with learning, mental, or emotional disabilities.
• Utilize assistive technology and other specialized equipment and materials to support student learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders about student progress and challenges.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with research-based practices and emerging trends in special education.
  QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students who have learning, mental, or emotional disabilities.
• Knowledge of research-based practices and strategies for teaching students with special needs.
• Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs and other specialized learning plans.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for working with students with special needs and dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Duties
1. Supervises the classroom
