DESCRIPTION:
Job responsibilities-
1. Responsible for decisive leadership in the improvement of the total educational program within the school.
2. Responsible for recommendations for hiring, assigning, evaluating and for recommendations for dismissing staff.
3. Implements board of education policies and administrative regulations that provide educational conditions under which child and teacher may work to their best advantage.
4. Responsible for the school's total needs in planning the budget and obtaining necessary equipment and supplies within the funds allocated.
5. Responsible for supervising the maintenance of building, grounds, and equipment.
6. Responsible for interpreting the school's program to the community and enlists the participation of the community in school activities.
7. Develops innovative ideas and concepts regarding professional growth of staff; devises cooperative, realistic plans and programs to insure continuous student success, growth and development.

· Organize and administer the public relations program for the school.
· Supervise the daily use of the facilities for both academic and non-academic purposes.
· Assume responsibility for all official correspondence and news releases.
· Keep abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications and discussing problems of mutual interest with others in the field of education.
· Assist in the development, revision and evaluation of the curriculum.
· Assist in the recruiting, screening, hiring, training and evaluating of school staff.
· Plan, organize and direct all school activities making provisions for proper supervision and safety.
