    •   Candidates with successful experience as a school administrator in a PreK-8th grade setting; demonstrated ability in working with a special education population relative to program delivery, implementation of IEP’s and 504 plans, the requirements of IDEA and applicable state/federal laws will receive priority.  Assistant Director will assist in the supervision of special education personnel, writing and implementation of various grants, evaluation and placement of special needs students, and possess ability to provide staff development and in-service programming for special education and regular education staff and parents.  Candidates must hold a valid PEL License with a Director of Special Education Endorsement.  Consideration may be given to candidates who possess Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS) I and General Administrative/Principal Endorsements who could be hired as a Support Programs Coordinator and transitioned to the role of Assistant Executive Director after earning the Director of Special Education licensure within the first year of employment.

    Qualifications
    • IIllinois Professional Educator Licensure (PEL), Director of Special Education , and other appropriate endorements (e.g. LBS-1, Prinipal, etc.).
    Compensation
    • Salary range will be approximately $90,000 pending education, licensure,and experience.
