2024-2025 Temporary Employee, Part-Time - Tutor for Multilingual Learners Program (MLP)

GENERAL SUMMARY:
With general supervision, supports Multilingual Learning students by providing academic assistance in learning English and other subjects taught in the general education classroom.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education and experience teaching school-aged students, knowledge of the policies and activities of the school district which pertain to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position.
Knowledge in the methods for developing lesson plans and materials, and classroom activities which stimulate learning; counseling methods and information that must be prepared for classroom instructional activities.
Job requires the ability to provide instruction to students through explanation, demonstration and/or supervised practice, the ability to supervise students and maintain order in various classroom and instructional settings; the ability to communicate effectively with students, their teachers and other groups involved in the activities of the job.
Responsible for supervising students in a small group setting and reporting to the ML Specialist and Administrator of the building.
