POSITION: Administrative Assistant (10 Month)

SALARY: Starting $16.89 - increase to $18.00 following 40-day probation

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma with advanced office training or 3-5 years experience
 
  QUALIFICATIONS:  
 
• Proven excellent attendance & punctuality record

• Ability to use a major word processing program efficiently

• Experience with the Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)

• Knowledge of correct grammar and spelling

• Knowledge of business telephone etiquette

• Ability to communicate empathetically and effectively with students, parents, and staff

• Ability to move physically throughout the work environment

• Responsible and self-motivated

• Ability to focus on tasks in a distracting environment
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
• Perform general front office duties to maintain smooth building operation and for required reporting

• Assist parents with enrollment in various programs available to students

• Maintain confidentiality

• Store and retrieve student and other information efficiently

• Provide secretarial support

• Administer medication to students as authorized in accordance with established guidelines

• Relate well with students, parents, and staff

• Primary telephone voice for incoming calls

• Enroll new students in Infinite Campus and/or PowerSchool; send for CA60 files

• Enter student information into required systems

• Perform essential job functions specified for this position

• Champion and promote justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion

• Other duties as assigned by administration

• Assist teacher in the instruction of 4 year old children of all abilities

• Assist teacher in planning and implementing a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool children

• Assist teacher in implementing a curriculum that promotes developmental gains toward the attainment of life skills

• Assist with using assessment data to inform whole-group instruction, small-group, and individual instruction

• Communicate with parents regarding the progress of students and include them in setting curricular goals for their child

• Implement Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) in the classroom

• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date child records

• Work with parents to promote positive parent/child relationships, including family events in the classroom and take-home activities

• Attend professional development opportunities and required trainings

• Assist students with self-care and hygiene needs
 
• Champion and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
