Pay rate is based on education and certification:
Substitute Certification (60 credits or 30 credits if currently enrolled in school) - $130.00 per day
Substitute Certification with a BA or MA Degree - $150.00 per day
NJ Department of Education Certification (CE, CEAS, Standard) - $170.00 per day

Note:  Opportunities may arise for CE/CEAS and Standard certificate holders to do long term Leave Of Absence coverage.
Any assignment over 8 weeks will be $225 per day.    
 
 
All substitute teachers are obligated to work seven (7) hours per day according to the following schedule:
 
JMHS and JLHS: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
 
Middle School:   7:50 AM - 3:05 PM
 
Switlik and Elms:  8:50 AM - 3:35 PM
 
Holman and Crawford-Rodriguez:  8:50 AM - 3:35 PM
 
Johnson:  8:50 AM - 3:35 PM
