Description:  Computer Lab Assistant, Temporary Part-Time -- 2 Positions

Reports To:  Dean of Workforce Development

Salary:  Non-Exempt, min. $21.05 to $26.31 per hour based on experience; temporary, non-benefited, grant-funded position

Position Summary:  Assist Networking and Cybersecurity students in the Computer Lab.  See job description for duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications:  
1. Associate’s Degree in related field - OR - High School Diploma or equivalent with completion of at least 3 to 4 Networking Courses at IVCC or other institution - required.
2. Working knowledge of networking systems and cybersecurity module creation - required.
3. Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and students - required.
4. Proficiency in Networking and Cybersecurity programming - required.
5. Proficiency with Bright Space - preferred.

Working Conditions:  Duties are performed in the usual classroom and lab environment

Description: Truck Driver Training Specialist, Part Time

Reports To:  Truck Driver Training Program Coordinator

Salary Range: Non-Exempt, base pay starts at $20.50 per hour and up based on experience

Job Summary:   Assist students to prepare for the CDL license examination.  Training topics to be covered include:  driving and backing skills; pre-trip inspection; trip planning; and log books.  CDL Permit preparation includes: general knowledge, airbrakes, combination, tankers, doubles and triples, and hazardous materials.  Bilingual language skills a plus.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct classroom CDL training.
2. Conduct yard and road training.
3. Ensure training is conducted in a professional manner.
4. Keep safety a priority at all times.
5. Inspect equipment and notify Program Coordinator of problems.
6. Keep driver training log current and accurate.
7. Match training level to student skill level.
Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Valid CDL license and DOT physical
• At least five years over the road experience
• Minimum of 60 months of tractor trailer experience
• Previous training experience
• Project a professional image at all times
• Available to instruct day and evening classes
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate a web browser
• Proficient with 10 speed transmission
