Job Summary
To provide a comprehensive guidance program consisting of guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, and system support components as outlined in the South Carolina Comprehensive Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program Model. Consult with administration, teachers, parents, and staff to enhance effectiveness in helping students and provide support and assistance to other educational programs within the school and district.
Essential Duties
• Implementing the South Carolina Comprehensive Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program Model for elementary guidance and counseling program.
• Counseling individual and small groups of students in their academic development; in their career awareness; and in their development of life skills.
• Counseling individual and small groups of children toward personal, social, and emotional growth and development.
• Consulting with and training teachers, parents/guardians, and staff regarding children's needs. Referring children and their families to special programs, specialists, and community agencies when appropriate.
• Participating in, coordinating, and conducting activities that contribute to the effective operation of the counseling program and the school.
• Participating in the intervention-team process and/or as a member of the school's student support teams. The system support component includes indirect guidance management activities that maintain and enhance the total guidance and counseling program. The responsibilities of guidance counselor in this component encompass staff and community relations, special research projects, committees, professional development, and student support teams.
• Planning and evaluating the counseling program.
• Pursuing continuous professional growth.
• Other Duties
• Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Principal or other appropriate administrator that serve to promote the social and academic well-being of students.

• Possess a current and valid South Carolina certification in guidance and counseling at specific level.
• Have a working knowledge and understanding of the components of the South Carolina Comprehensive Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program Model.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology.

Job Title:  Elementary School Bookkeeper III

Job Summary:
Assist in the administration of the school's financial affairs so as to provide the maximum educational services for each individual student enrolled within the financial resources available.
Essential Duties:
1. Maintain a complete and systematic set of records and files of all financial transactions of the school.
2. Collect and receipt all monies flowing through the school, make daily bank deposits, and issue and record Imprest Checks for refunds.
3. Maintain separate accounting records for clubs, departments, and general school funds.
4. Check PeopleSoft Financials on a regular basis to monitor all funds and to see that transfers, invoices, etc. are processed correctly.
5. Make available for auditors all accounts and financial records upon request by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
6. Prepare and process purchase requisitions to include receiving on packing slips and invoices for payment.
7. Maintain an annual inventory of all school furnishings, equipment, and supplies.
8. Prepare personnel recommendations, payroll, and insurance forms for school employees to be submitted to the appropriate department of the district office
9. Verify SmartFind Express daily to ensure timely payment for substitutes.
10. Process Positive Pay timesheets for temporary employees and staff members for payment.
11. Process contracts for the Use of School Facilities.
12. Prepare ticket boxes for appropriate school and athletic events.
13. Approve and Reconcile all school travel and field trips utilizing the Travel and Field Trips online program.
14. Complete Workers Compensation reports /claims and all student insurance claims.
15. Serve as back-up for front office staff as needed.
 
Other Duties:
Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Principal.
Job Specifications:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge. Skills and Abilities Required):
1. Associates Degree or Para professional Certification, with course work in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required.
2. Demonstrated competence in the use of computers, Microsoft Office programs, and all office machines.
3. Job related experience preferred.

Job Summary
Provide clean, reliable and useful data to support instructional and administrative needs and to meet all local, state and federal requirements.

Essential Duties
1. Maintain student information system database including security management, data integrity and disaster prevention.
2. Perform all necessary data activities related to data extraction and reporting to district, state and federal accountability and funding requirements.
3. Meet data quality goals established by school administrator.
4. Utilize data checking tools to continuously verify the accuracy and completeness of data.
5. Take necessary corrective measures to eliminate data problems.
6. Maintain records regarding enrollment, withdrawal and transferring students.
7. Interface with parents and students to obtain and record student and parent information.
8. Work with building administrators and guidance counselors to create and record schedules for students.
9. Understand and record proper coding values for student classification.
10. Interface with program administrators such as special education, career education, homebound instruction, ESOL, transportation, truancy, gifted, early childhood, academic plans and testing coordinators to complete data requirements for state reporting.
11. Work with teachers and administrators to report and maintain accurate grade records.
12. Work with school administrators, test coordinators and special education coordinators to enter, maintain and verify data for testing program.
13. Maintain accurate attendance records, including drop-out information, and provide clerical assistance related to truancy identification and intervention.
14. Participate in district-wide meetings, training activities, listserv/blog communications, sharing and distribution of appropriate information.
15. Maintain technology skills required to perform job tasks.
Other Duties
Individual will perform basic hardware maintenance including but not limited to changing printer cartridges, calibrating scanners, cleaning hardware as necessary, and insuring proper cabling of computer and peripherals.Will also perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the principal or appropriate district personnel.

2. Demonstration of technology proficiency skills required.
3. Technical aptitude necessary to learn current and future student management database and the integration of such software with common office applications such Microsoft Office.
4. Strong problem solving, organizational and basic math skills.
5. Ability to create and utilize search and query functions to verify accuracy and completeness of information for maintaining student management database and for data reporting.
6. Ability to communicate both orally and in written format with employees, parents, students and outside agencies.
7. Minimum keyboard skills of 30 wpm.
8. Ability to complete district, state and other training courses relevant to the completion of job assignments.
