    REPORTS TO: Business Administrator/ Superintendent of Schools

     

    SUPERVISES: Technology staff as assigned

     

    JOB OVERVIEW:

     
    • Full-time, 12-month position
    • Anticipated start date: July 2025 (earlier start possible)
    • Competitive salary commensurate with experience; Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000
     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     
    • Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in a public school district technology leadership role.
    • Formal training and/or relevant experience with computer technology, networked information systems, and cybersecurity best practices.
    • Broad knowledge of instructional technology equipment and applications, online services, and technology integration across the curriculum.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long-range technology plans, including budget analysis, infrastructure upgrades, and security enhancements.
    • Strong understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., FERPA, COPPA) and best practices for safeguarding student and staff information.
    • Experience supervising IT personnel and managing technology-related procurement, implementation, and support.
     

    NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
    The Director of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology management, including but not limited to:

     
    • Supervising and evaluating information technology personnel.
    • Developing and managing the district's technology budget, including procurement of hardware, software, and digital resources.
    • Leading the strategic planning and implementation of instructional and operational technology initiatives.
    • Ensuring network security, data privacy compliance, and disaster recovery planning.
    • Overseeing system integrations, cloud-based solutions, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
    • Collaborating with district leadership to enhance digital learning environments and technology support for educators.
    • Developing and enforcing IT policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
    • Providing professional development opportunities to staff on emerging technologies and cybersecurity awareness.
