The Glencoe Silver Lake School District is looking for an ECFE Child/Parent Educator to work in the Early Childhood Learning Center in Glencoe. The person hired will work approximately 15-20 hours per week dependent on registration. Morning, afternoon, and /or evening sessions are possible plus special event, depending on scheduling.
Job duties include:
 
• Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate program and classroom activities for children and their families in the ECFE Program.
• Building strong relationships with families and the community through classes, events, email, social media, ECFE website, etc.
• Maintaining an organized and well-kept classroom and supplies.
• Participating in staff development, including staff meetings, workshops, and in-service training.
Qualifications:
• Excellent skills in teaching, communications, and time management.
• Ability to adapt instruction to various learning levels and styles, as well as, the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff.
• Positive outlook and effective organizational skills.
• Three years teaching experience preferred.
Salary range (2023-2025 Teachers Masters Agreement - Schedule B)
• Starting at BA (Step 1) $42,367 
• Reaching MA+60 (Step 29+) $89,165
 
Minnesota Licensure Required: Hold or be eligible for licensure in Early Childhood Education. Dual licensure in Early Childhood Education and Parent and Family Education preferred.

Substitute Paraprofessionals: Duties may include assisting teachers in the classroom, working with students under a teacher's supervision. Additional duties may include crossing guard duties before or after school, supervising on the playground during recess, and/or lunch room supervision. Current rate of pay is $16.60 per hour.
