    Qualifications & Requirements:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience with purchasing procedures.
    • Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Skills in the proper use of supplies, tools, and equipment used in the custodial trades.
    • Ability to work split shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.
    • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
    • Ability to handle confrontation and conflict without an emotional response.
    • Skills in time management.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Evaluates the appearance of physical facilities and grounds.
    • Cleans office areas, rest rooms, and other assigned areas
    • Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of campus areas.
    • Supervises night custodians.
    • Coordinates jobs between custodians, principals, and maintenance trades in setting up for all school functions.
    • Makes minor repairs and contacts maintenance office for major repairs and engineering.
    • Requisitions all supplies for jobs under jurisdiction and completes annual budget.
    • Diagnoses and resolves problem situations as they relate to custodial and maintenance duties.
    • Complies with school Safety Manual Rules and Regulations and satisfies OSHA requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    General Information:
    Responsible for maintaining the campus in a clean and well maintained condition.
