Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in physical education and/or school-affiliated coaching.
At least 3 years of leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree in athletic administration, physical education, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
Demonstrated success in working with student-athletes, preferably in an independent school setting.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and budgetary skills.
High-energy and passionate about working in a Christ-centered academic environment.
Possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement or be willing to undergo training to earn one (Preferred).
Develop, oversee, and evaluate a comprehensive athletic program that supports student growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Recruit, hire, and mentor a team of skilled and dedicated coaches who uphold the school’s mission and values.
Supervise and support all athletic programs, ensuring that they operate with excellence, professionalism, and integrity.
Establish and enforce high standards of student-athlete behavior, conduct, and sportsmanship.
Oversee scheduling of all athletic events, including games, practices, and tournaments, ensuring logistical efficiency and smooth operations.
Collaborate with the Director of Transportation to arrange travel, recruit referees, and oversee game-day logistics.
Coordinate with the Director of Facilities to oversee the management and maintenance of all athletic facilities, fields, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Develop and oversee the athletic department budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
Promote the achievements of athletic teams and student-athletes through communication with the school community and external partners.
Collaborate with school leadership on student eligibility, academic progress, and compliance with athletic league requirements.
Foster strong relationships with parents, students, faculty, and external athletic organizations to enhance the overall athletic experience.
Represent First Baptist School at local, regional, and state athletic associations.
Oversee the distribution, collection, storage, and maintenance of all athletic uniforms and equipment.
In conjunction with the Director of Advancement, organize and coordinate fundraising initiatives to support the athletic department.
Attend school-wide events, faculty meetings, and leadership team meetings to ensure seamless integration of athletics into the overall school program.
