 QUALIFICATIONS:
 
• Eligibility for Paraprofessional license issued by the Georgia PSC
 
• Ability to work with administrators, teachers, students and parents

• Aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned

• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
 
REPORTS TO:   Principal or designee
 
JOB GOAL:  To provide assistance to students and support the instructional program of the school.
 
 PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
• Work in the classroom with the teacher to give instruction to students.

• Collaborate with Academic Coach/Intervention Coordinator to provide students with assigned interventions.
 
• Assist the teacher in the preparation of supplies and materials needed to carry out lessons.
 
• Work cooperatively with all school personnel to enhance the overall quality of the school.
 
• Keep the teacher informed of all potential problems noted regarding instruction and discipline.
 
• Channel all school business through the school office.
 
• Maintain confidentiality.
 
• Maintain license.
 
• Engage in activities that promote professional growth.

• Perform special tasks needed for students. Examples: Catheterization, diapering, feeding, lifting, etc.
• ?Demonstrate prompt and in person attendance.

• Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the Principal or designee.
