Description:
Crossing guard will assist children on their way to and from school. Provide safe crossing of the roadways and verbally direct students across the street. You can be an important member of USD 490 committed to the safety of our students in our community.

Physical Demands
• Standing and Walking on various surfaces
• Turning/Twisting head and body to observe traffic and children approaching crosswalk.
• Agility/Balance when walking on snow, ice, uneven pavement. Can react and move quickly to avoid vehicles
• Communicate verbally and writing. Speaks clearly to instruct students and other pedestrians. Writing suffeciently to report problems.
• Vision to observe vehicles and pedestrians, read signs, and recognize potentional dangerous traffic situations and environmental hazards such as potholes, ice, sidewalk obstructions.
• Hearing to recognize vehicles approaching from any direction, backup alarms, horns, to hear children and pedestrians speaking in a potentially noisy, distracting environment
Working Conditions:
• Must be able to fullfill job requirements outdoors in all weather, including rain, fog, snow, sleet, cold, heat, humidity, and wind
• Schedule- Monday through Friday
• Hours- 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM & 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
      Times are subject to change on early release days.

Job Title: Summer School Director

Purpose: The Summer School Director is responsible for the planning, organization, and administration of the summer school program. This position ensures the successful implementation of curriculum, staffing, student engagement, and compliance with district policies and state regulations. The director will

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license and/or administrative certification as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of three years of teaching or administrative experience in an educational setting.
• Experience in program development, staff supervision, and student engagement.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators effectively.
• Proficiency in using technology for scheduling, communication, and reporting.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
