Essential duties include maintenance of school building lawns and fields, maintain plant life surrounding schools, maintain grounds equipment, occasionally work inside schools doing custodial work Excellent driving record

Facility Use Program Building Monitor
 
The Facility Use Program Building Monitor provides information and assistance to community users who utilize district facilities outside the school day and they provide building security during such use.

Available shifts: 
Various evening and weekend shifts available, depending on need. All shifts take place outside of school hours, including weekends and evenings

CLASS Level 1 $18.20
 

Position Qualifications:
 
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent, first aid and CPR certification preferred
 
Experience:  
 
• One-year customer service experience 

• One year of clerical experience preferred

• One year of experience providing youth supervision, preferably within an educational or athletics setting preferred  
 
Qualifications:
 
• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to district policies and procedure

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Trustworthy and reliable

• Ability to work with a diverse group of community users, students, and staff 

• Ability to remain calm in emergency situations

Homebound/Home Based Tutor

The Homebound/Home-Based Tutor provides instructional tutoring to students who are not able to attend school due to a variety of reasons. Tutors either go to the student’s home if the student cannot leave home, or they meet with the student in a mutually agreed upon public location. Tutors work with the educational team to determine academic areas of focus.

Eden Prairie Schools will continue to accept applications for these positions through the 24-25 school year.  Positions will be hired as needs are identified.
 
           
Salary:	$40/ hour (per EPEA contract)
Hours:	This position will result in a minimum of 2.5 hours/week, averaging 5 hrs/week or more. The final schedule will be  mutually agreed upon between the tutor and the family.
License Requirements:	Active Minnesota teaching license required A special education license is required for tutoring students who receive special education services.
Experience:	Ideal candidate will have academic tutoring experience with students at the elementary and/or secondary levels. We are also seeking candidates who have experience working with students who have disabilities.
Qualifications:  Please see the attached job description for full details about this opportunity.	Must have the ability to build positive working relationships with assigned students, parents, and staff. Must be proficient with current technology used to support student learning. The ability to support instructional goals and designated outcomes for assigned students and to clearly communicate those to learners. The ability to support the assessment of learning outcomes achieved by assigned students using various progress monitoring methods to monitor the effectiveness of teaching strategies. The ability to support instruction that recognizes diverse populations. The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members. Demonstrates fair and ethical judgments.

EXPERIENCE:	Implementing communication interventions and strategies consistent with the student’s IEP and supervising Speech-Language Pathologist’s guidance and direction. Taking instruction and direction from licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and following classroom/program routines. Establishing and maintaining professional and courteous working relationships. Applying problem solving processes in implementing designated interventions. Updating and maintaining required speech and language service documentation, files, and records. Demonstrating communication techniques and methods to students. Recognizing student strengths and weaknesses in communication and social functioning. Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
TESTING REQUIRED:	All job offers from Eden Prairie Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check and ISD 272 School Board approval.  Offers for these positions will also be conditioned upon passing a pre-employment physical physical abilities test.

• - A current Minnesota teaching license is required to be a Reserve teacher . This license permits you to substitute in grades K-12.
- or -
• - A four year college degree which meets the requirements for applying for a Short Call/Limited Teaching License with the PELSB (Public Educator Licesing and Standards Board).  If you have a 4-year degree, but not in education, contact the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) to learn about the requirements needed to receive your Limited Short Call Sub license to be eligible to substitute teach in a Minnesota school district.  PELSB can be contacted at (651) 539-4200 or emailed at pelsb@state.mn.us.

• - For the 23-24 & 24-25 school years: Work with Human Resources to apply for the Short Call Substitute Pilot Program. Qualifications for this program are below:
  • Holds a minimum of an associate's degree or equivalent and has or will receive substitute training from the school district or charter school; or
     
  • Holds a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and has been employed as an education support personnel or paraprofessional within the district or charter school for at least one academic year
