SUMMER@ECISD –Rising Star Camp Coordinator

The position of Secondary Campus Coordinator will be made available at CAST-LEAD High School for the Summer of 2025. District Employees who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. The deadline for submitting an application is until the position is filled.
Position Overview: Supervise academic teachers & paraprofessionals, serve as site lead for instructional support, and oversee operational management for programming.
REQUIREMENTS: - Monitor instructional processes and delivery to ensure that program activities are related to program goals and use findings to take corrective actions when applicable.
- Develop and implement accountability systems for attendance, assessment, supplies, technology, transportation, and data collection.
- Support Summer Testing Administrator(s). Special Education Dept, and ECISD Athletic Department as needed with student supervision, student transporting, summer feeding services, security/safety and facility maintenance.
- Monitor and approve employee time sheeting, including those related to assessment, extended school year and high school credit recovery.
- Effectively communicate SUMMER@ECISD program expectations to staff, students, parents and support services in a manner that will ensure optimal experiences for its participants and academic growth to occur.
- Facilitate communication with home campus administrators regarding specialized needs and/or concerns of student participants (i.e. attendance, assessment accommodations, equipment, behavior supports, etc.)
- Manage use of school facilities and maintenance of these facilities to ensure at all times a safe, clean, and orderly campus.
- Ensure that district policies and procedures are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriately handled and is equitable in accordance with the Student Code of conduct.
- Demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior; serve as a role model for all campus staff.
- Provide leadership in personal professional growth and in support of the professional growth of others.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Teaching experience
Experience in leadership roles (ex: grade level chairperson, committee chairperson, teacher mentor, academic facilitator, assistant principal, counselor)
Experience working with at-risk students and families.
Experience with elementary and/or secondary curriculum.
Have or in process of obtaining a Master’s Degree in Texas Principal or Mid-Management Certification
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students w/physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist non-ambulatory students. Exposure to biological hazards.
DATES: May 29 - June 24, 2023 Monday thru Thursday. The number of days may be decreased due to programming needs and maybe split or co-shared amongst several qualifying individuals. Additional planning calls/meetings will occur during the Spring semester.
TIME COMMITMENT: 7:45am - 4:30pm, unless programming dictates otherwise
SALARY: $425 per day and accounts for lunch and professional development/workdays not already deemed contract for employee. ($200, half-day); Split: SCE, SUMMER@ECISD Local, TITLE I.
