  Dorchester School District Four is now hiring bus drivers and substitute bus drivers on a continuous basis.

Salary Range:  $16.94/hr - $22.36/hr

Summary:
1. Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule.
2. Complies with traffic regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilites:
1. Drives a school us safely and professionally.
2. Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections.
3. Complies with traffic ordinances,
4. Complies with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation.
5. Participates in on-site training.
6. Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering school bus.
7. Supervises students while transporting them.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications: 
In order to be considered for a bus driver/substitute bus driver position, we must have the following information:
1. Completed Bus Driver Application
2. Verification of Education 
3. Must attend a New Driver’s Training Class
4. A copy of your Commercial Driver’s License with “P and S” Endorsement
5. A satisfactory SLED check (obtained by the district)
6. Must have Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
7. Copy of 10 year SC DMV Driving Record
8. Must Complete Pre-Employment Drug Testing

Education:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. No point on driving record
3. Must be able to pass physical, including a drug test 
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
 
1. Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License
2. Must be able to pass Skill Test and State Written Test
