Job Summary: 
The District is seeking a special education teacher to provide instructional support in the areas of math and English Language Arts for an identified student. The teacher would be responsible for planning and implementing engaging instruction that is aligned with the curriculum and designed to address the student’s deficits in math and English Language Arts. The teacher will be expected to monitor the student’s progress and communicate regularly with the parent. Instructional support will be delivered on Monday and Thursday each week from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Nathan Hale Middle School. Services are expected to start on September 11, 2023, and end on May 23, 2024. Qualified candidates must hold a current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a special education (LBS I) endorsement.  

Qualifications:
• Current and valid  Illinois Professional Educator License with a special education  (LBS I) endorsement;
• Individual must be flexible, creative and child centered;
• Ability to assess the learning of students and modify or enhance instruction as needed;
• Ability to analyze various forms of data and use the information to make instructional decisions;
• Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using standards-based varied teaching methods to address student learning styles;
• Strong knowledge of the Common Core State Standards, and instructional best practices in literacy, and mathematics;

 Salary and Benefits: 
• $35 per hour per the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement
