Intervention Specialist - Moderate/Intensive
Resource Room for Elementary students with intensive behavioral needs
School Building : Northwood Elementary (Grades 2-6)
184 Annual Duty Days
Position begins August 1, 2025

Required Qualifications:
Intervention specialist licensure required – (moderate/intensive licensure preferred)
Must be capable of effectively working with students with a broad range of social, academic and behavioral skills in a resource room setting.
Position requires behavior intervention skills.
Previous experience coordinating educational services among team members including therapists, paraprofessionals and general education teachers required.
Must have knowledge of special education laws and procedural requirements.
Previous experience developing and implementing IEPs preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students and families with the education system required.
Ability to adapt/modify classroom materials to meet a range of needs and provide academic interventions required.
Must have the ability to integrate technology into instruction and intervention.
Position requires the ability to provide a consistent and stable classroom environment for students that depend on routine and working with familiar staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with students with behavioral needs preferred.
Must hold current CPI certification or be willing to take district training.
