Job Title:                    CUSTODIAN
 
FLSA Status:             Non-Exempt
 
Line of Supervision:  Responsible to and evaluated by the building Principal, and the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds.
 
Job Focus:  To enhance student achievement by maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists with the task of providing custodial services to a school building,
   including such duties that may consist of: keeping building, sidewalks,
   bathrooms, lunch rooms, driveways, play areas, classrooms and offices clean.
2. Completes specific list of duties and areas as assigned by the Supervisor of Building
   and Grounds.
3. Assists with the movement of furniture or equipment and supplies for daily use and for special events. Also, the custodian shall assist any organization that has permission to use a building.
4. Brings to the attention of their supervisor any concerns, problems, repairs, needed supplies, or observations that might affect the needs or operations of a facility.
5. Ensures that, at the end of the day, all doors and windows are closed, all lights are
   turned off within the building, and the alarm is set.
6. Assists school personnel with reasonable requests during the school day which may include the clean-up of spills and /or bodily fluids.
7. Assists with those maintenance functions within a building that can be performed
   at a basic level.
8. Ensures the safety of all students/staff, while on school property.
This may include traffic duty before and after school for students and families.
            9.         Exhibits professionalism and is a role model.
            10.       Guards confidentiality of all information received. 
9. Performs such other custodial duties as may be assigned by the Principal, Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds, Chief School Business Officer, and Superintendent of Schools.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
2. Must be of good health and character.
3. Must be able to follow both written and oral directions.
4. Must be willing to work with adults and children.
5. Must be able to follow a set of work schedules and procedures.
6. Must be willing to learn new skills and follow directions.
7. Experience in custodial duties is preferred.
8. Must be at least 18 years of age.
9. Must have basic computer skills.
 
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
• stand, walk, sit, talk or hear, reach with hands and arms,
• stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
 
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
A). Full-Time-Twelve months per year (260 days). Salary and other benefits in accordance with the Sauk Village Classified Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement.

TITLE:             SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
 
Job Focus:        To provide psychological evaluation and assistance to students who require such services in their educational program.
 
Line of Supervision:     Responsible to and evaluated by building Principal
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
1.         Assists parents and staff members in locating and coordinating school and community  resources.
2.         Serves as a liaison between the schools and other agencies as appropriate.
3.         Observes individual students in educational settings as appropriate.
4.         Identifies the special needs of students through consultation, observation, and other psychological and educational assessments.
5.         Collaborates as needed with teachers, principals, and other school personnel to develop plans that modify the behavior of disruptive students.
6.         Analyzes, integrates and reports psychological and educational information about students behavior and the conditions relating to their learning.
7.         Consults with teachers and other staff members in planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs and interventions to meet the identified psychological and educational needs of students.
8.         Participates in the prevention of educational and behavioral problems through early identification and consultation.
9.         Conducts individual and group counseling sessions as needed in order to facilitate the students social/emotional development.
10.       Prepares, assembles, and/or disseminates materials and reports as needed for Medicare reimbursement of at-risk and special education students.
11.       Provides leadership at staff meetings in developing behavior management plans and functional analysis of behavior. 
12.       Assists in case management activities as necessary.
13.       Provides information, support, and counseling to parents and families when appropriate.
14.       Attends and participates in special education parent meetings as requested.
15.       Guards the confidentiality of all information placed in charge of this office.   Breach of this trust shall be grounds for dismissal.
16.       Performs such other duties as may be requested by the Principal, Coordinator of Special Education or Superintendent of Schools.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
1.         Has a valid certificate (type 73) as a School Psychologist issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
2.         Holds an earned Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                             180 days per year.  Salary and other benefits as established by the Board of Education.

1.         Assist the teacher with record keeping duties.
2.         Assist the teacher with the management of the instructional program, but only as prescribed by the teacher, and only under the direct supervision of the teacher.
3.         Assist the teacher with the management of the non-instructional functions of a classroom.  This deals with such duties as recess, toilet, clothing, lunch, and other such routines.
4.         At the direction of the teacher, assist with record keeping, administering standardized tests, student paper correction, student notebook, homework or make-up work.
5.         Serve as a chaperone on school-sponsored field trips.
6.         Perform such other duties as the teacher may assign, so long as they are within the legal scope of this position.
7.         Ensure the safety of all students/staff, while on school property.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
1. Valid Paraprofessional, substitute license, or PEL (Illinois Professional Teacher License)
