Switches to day shift during summer and school breaks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Classrooms: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing desks, chairs, and floors.
- Bathrooms: Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces.
- Common Areas: Maintaining hallways, lobbies, cafeterias, and other shared spaces in a clean and tidy condition.
- Grounds: Picking up trash, shoveling snow (seasonal), and maintaining the school's exterior.
- Trash Disposal: Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Window Cleaning: Cleaning windows inside and out.
- Minor Repairs: Addressing minor issues like changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, or making small repairs.
- Inventory Management: Ensuring that cleaning supplies and equipment are stocked and available.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Safety: Ensuring the school environment is safe for students and staff.
- Reporting: Notifying supervisors of needed repairs or safety concerns.
- Special Events: Assisting with setup and cleanup for school events.
- Locker Room Cleaning: Cleaning locker rooms daily.
- Lawn Maintenance and weeding.
- Trophy Case Cleaning: Cleaning trophy.
- Stripping and waxing floors.
- Graffiti Removal: Removing graffiti immediately.
- Gum Removal: Removing gum from floors and walls.
- Scuff Mark Removal: Removing scuff marks on the walls.
- Dusting: Dusting shelves, locker tops, and window ledges.
- Air Handling Vent Cleaning: Cleaning air handling vents semi-annually.
- Trash Receptacle Washing: Washing and disinfecting trash receptacles semi-annually.

Job Requirements:
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions and using a variety of job related equipment.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent’s, and/or ratios; read and follow instructions; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions, use digital communication, record keeping.
ABILITY to work with immediate supervision; providing information and/or advising others. Utilization of resources from other work is often required to perform the job's functions.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. The job is performed under temperature variations and a generally hazard free environment.
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Successfully completes required criminal history check.
