    Job Objective:   

     

    Instruct students in CTE Marketing curriculum
     

     

    Essential Functions:

     
    • Formulate and administer vocational and technical education programs

    •  Maintain working relationship with community and state agencies and area businesses, industries, and labor organizations in order to provide appropriate training

    • Advise and assist in obtaining state and federal funds for vocational and technical education programs

    •  Responsible for the collection, review, and submission of all forms and reports relative to vocational education to appropriate state agencies

    • Supervise and evaluate all instructional personnel in the vocational education program

    • Coordinate the gathering, selecting, and analysis of data with respect to jobs available to local high school graduates

    • Work to identify and define local job opportunities and the role of the schools in meeting these opportunities

    • Coordinate all work-experience programs in the schools

    • Maintain membership in and participate in the affairs of professional societies devoted to the advancement of CTE education

    •  Write and evaluate VEPD plan with the assessment management team and the strategic analysis team

    • Plan and schedule district career activities

    • Supervise CTE student organization activities

    • Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program as defined in the Board of Education approved courses of study

    •  Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and present clear, complete and accurate explanations utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable to the level of learners

    • Assist in the selection of textbooks, equipment, and other educational materials

    • Participate in intervention assistance team meetings 
             
     

    Minimum Qualifications

     
    • Valid state department of education license/permit as determined at the time of appointment.

    • Meets all mandated state/federal criteria (i.e., approved degree, completion of requisite higher education credit hours/courses, or acceptable score on an authorized professional standards test).

    • Evidence of core computer competencies deemed essential at the time of hire.

    • Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing

    • Training in varied instructional design

    •  Knowledge of child development and an understanding of age appropriate tasks

    •  Background/knowledge base in methodology and supervised practice

    •  Computer/word processing skills
