Qualifications              
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an appropriate endorsement
• The elective teacher will provide daily instruction on an elective area such as: Art, Sports, Dance, Bucket Band, Step, Food Science, Fashion (sewing), etc.  Students will select which option they would like to participate in for the 5 week course.

• This position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; however, interviews may be conducted after February 27, 2025, so interested applicants should submit their materials ASAP to ensure consideration.  
 
Important Notes
 
• This position is for the District’s Middle School Title I Summer School Program, which will be located at Jefferson Middle School.
• This program runs Monday-Thursday from June 9, 2025 - July 10, 2025.  There will be no student attendance on June 19, 2025. 
• Student Contact Hours will be from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. 
• Staff will be expected to be on duty (and will be paid) from 7:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
• There will be a (paid) teacher PD and planning on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., with a one hour unpaid lunch break.
• Teachers will be paid at the rate of $35.00/hour.

• Teachers will be paid at the rate of $35.00/hour.
