Student Records Specialist Key responsibilities include:
Reception duties:
Greets students, parents, staff, and visitors entering the office and provides assistance. Answers phone calls and responds to inquiries.
Student records management:
Maintains accurate student files, updating information and managing student transcript requests.
Medical records management:
Maintains physical/immunization records, allergy and medication documentation.
Student Needs:
Administers prescription medications to students, assists with students who are not feeling well, supervises students.
Attendance tracking:
Records student absences and tardiness, contacting parents regarding attendance issues.
Social media and website coordinator:
Schedules and posts social media content; updates website content.
Administrative assistance:
Supports Principal and other administrative personnel with their functions as needed.
Required skills:
Previous experience in an administrative support position.
Ability to interact with students, parents, staff, and visitors in a warm and confident manner.
Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions; ability to be flexible and adapt as needed.
Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all school and personnel matters.
Demonstrated working knowledge of computer applications, including: word processing, excel spreadsheets, database management, email and computer file management.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards Works in standard office and school building environments.
Qualification Profile Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Graduation from high school.
- Successful experience with office management preferred.
$38,000 - $42,000 salary range; Full-time (7:35am-3:35pm with paid 30 minute lunch)
