Private Catholic faith-based school is seeking kind, imaginative, and experienced intervention teacher. This warm and patient individual should have creativity and lots of passion for the field of Elementary Education. Job Summary: Professional education certified teacher who can nurture young minds while maintaining a happy, healthy and safe environment. Provide targeted academic support and individualized instruction to students across grades K-8 who are struggling to meet academic benchmarks. The role is critical in bridging learning gaps, promoting student confidence, and ensuring that all learners have the tools that they need to succeed in the general classroom. This position requires collaboration with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create and implement effective intervention strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education Communication skills. Teachers need good communication skills to tell parents and colleagues about students’ progress. They need good writing and speaking skills to convey this information effectively. They must also be able to communicate well with small children. Creativity. Teacher must prepare individualized instruction to the students who are needing intervention. These lessons must engage, be suited for different learning styles, and motivate students to work hard. Interpersonal skills. Teacher must understand children’s emotional needs and be able to develop good relationships with parents, children, and colleagues. Organizational skills. Teacher need to be organized to plan lessons and keep accurate records of their students. Patience. Working with children can be frustrating, and elementary teachers should be able to respond calmly to overwhelming and difficult situations. Physical stamina. Working with children can be physically taxing, so teachers should have a lot of energy. |
Job Duties:
Assess students’ academic performance and learning needs through formal and informal evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to students’ unique learning profiles.
Modify instruction based on continuous data analysis and student progress.
Provide small group or one-on-one instruction using research-based strategies to address reading, writing, math, or other academic deficits.
Utilize a variety of instructional methods and materials to engage students with diverse learning styles.
Integrate technology and multisensory approaches to enhance learning experiences.
Collect, analyze, and interpret student data to inform instructional decisions and measure the effectiveness of interventions.
Maintain detailed records of student progress, intervention strategies used, and outcomes achieved.
Adjust intervention approaches based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring problems to the attention of parents and administrators
Keep records of students’ progress, routines, and interests, and keep parents informed about their child’s development

Salary Range: $35,000 - $45,000 per year based on skills and experience. The salary offered may vary depending on several individualized factors including, but not limited to, job level, market, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, training, and other department needs. Please note salary is only one component of the Total Rewards package.
