Full-Time Work Hours
Elementary School Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Middle School Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
High School Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Wages for 2025-26
Special Ed. General Paraeducators - $15.76 - 16.21 per hour (depending on experience)
Special Ed. Specialized Paraeducators - $18.13 - $18.58 per hour (depending on experience)
To qualify to be a Paraeducator, you must have at least ONE (1) of the following:
1. At least 48 credit hours of college coursework
2. Associates Degree
3. Paraeducator Certificate
4. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
