Castle Rock School District #401 would like to announce the opening of one High School Assistant Principal position for 2025-26 school year.  Candidates must hold valid Washington State administrative certificate and also posses a valid teaching certificate.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the building principal in providing instructional leadership by establishing, promoting and leading efforts aligned with the goal of “Learning for All.”  The assistant principal will foster an environment characterized by high expectations, data-driven decision making, continuous improvement and capacity building. It is expected the successful candidate will spend the majority of his/her time, energy and talents focused on the quality of education offered at our school while assisting the principal to run an efficient and organized operation.  They will also monitor and manage our virtual high school and credit recovery courses.

 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Washington State Principal’s credential and valid teaching certificate
• Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or related field
• In-depth training in the elements of effective learning and teaching and the supervision of educational staff
• Five years of demonstrated successful teaching experience, preferred
• Three years of successful administrative experience, preferred
• Training and/or experience working with students with a variety of educational abilities, skills and cultures
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full-time administrative position.
Contract year is July 1 through June 30
Starting Salary:  $127,378-$132,523 High School Assistant Principal (Based on 24-25 admin salary schedule)

The Executive Assistant Human Resources works closely with Superintendent, Director of Finance and Payroll Specialist.  The Executive Assistant Human Resources is the primary point of contact for all HR related questions and oversees all records associated with Human Resources including electronic and hardcopy records and retention.  The Executive Assistant Human Resources assists staff in navigating HR processes including on-boarding, off-boarding, and certification requirements.  This position has a responsibility for completing both state and federal reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee onboarding, staff documents, and staff databases:
• Create and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and forms as needed
• Maintain records of Certificated Staff including certification, employee credits, clock hours, and continuing education (PD Enroller)
• Maintain records of Classified Staff including qualifications, certificates, degrees, employee credits, clock hours and continuing education (PD Enroller)
• Maintain essential employee records, including contract updates, assurance letters, leave requests, disciplinary files, medical files and salary placement documentation including transfer of records between school districts
• Draft documentation in preparation for terminations, exit interviews, and disciplinary conversations under the direction of the Superintendent
• Manage the eVal system for certificated staff evaluations
 
• Ensure completion of and compliance with state and federal reporting and documentation, including:

• HR Budget
• State and federal grants in EGMS
• Serve as a resource for interpreting staff certification levels and

• Coordinate the hiring and onboarding for new employees utilizing the district’s hiring platform (Frontline):
• Create and post job descriptions
• Edit/update forms and templates
• Send forms and onboarding information to candidates
• Manage the district’s training platform (Vector/SafeSchools) platform for mandatory and recommended training
• Manage and track candidate and staff data
• Host in-person new hire orientations covering the Employee Handbook, benefits, and policy
 
• Conduct background checks on and ensure fingerprinting for new and returning staff
• Review fingerprinting and background check data
• Compile and maintain accurate records
 
• Assist Payroll Specialist with benefits management
• Enroll and maintain employees on the employer side of programs used at CRSD (Frontline, Skyward, SEBB insurance, DRS retirement, training platforms, school email, etc.)
• Assist Payroll with staff personal benefit enrollment (SEBB insurance and DRS retirement)
• Develop resource packets, email templates, and how-to guides to encourage staff comprehension of and access to human resources benefits, programs, and information
• Conduct periodic in-person work sessions reviewing HR information and processes
 
• Assist as needed in compiling materials and perform data searches related to public records requests and audits
 
• Regularly review and manage HR policies (Employee Handbook) and procedures to ensure alignment with local, state, and federal law
 
• Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures under the direction of the superintnendent
 
• Complete other duties as assigned
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
• AA Degree (may substitute for equivalent work experience)
 
• Proficiency with a variety of computer applications including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Documents); ability to learn new computer applications quickly
 
• Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
 
• Excellent verbal and written communication that promotes understanding of complex concepts
 
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services and demonstrated ability to work in a positive manner with staff and other stakeholders

General Responsibilities:
                Under the general direction of the transportation supervisor, provides the safest and most expedient transportation services
                For students and staff.
Essential Functions:         
1. Safely drive any school bus and other fleet vehicles for daily to and from school routes, extra-curricular or athletic events, special education and/or other routes as directed.
2. Conduct pre- and post-trip safety inspections reporting all defects to supervisor/designee in writing.
3. Checks engine oil, coolant level and accessory drive belts prior to starting a cold engine and reports any deficiencies to the supervisor and/or mechanic.
4. Safely performs all tasks necessary to drive in adverse weather conditions i.e. ice, snow, high winds, high water, fog, rain, etc.
5. Trains all passengers in emergency procedures.
6. Assist in the loading/unloading of students with disabilities and others as needed.
7. Shows responsibility for the safety of all passengers by maintaining discipline and control.
8. Safely keeps to assigned time schedule
9. Maintain a safe driving record as described in the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) guide.
10. Responds quickly, physically and mentally, to fast changing and emergency conditions.
11. Performs necessary janitorial functions as directed.
12. Safely disposes of body fluids including blood, vomit, etc.
13. Immediately reports in writing all accidents involving self, vehicles, equipment and passengers.
14. Obeys all traffic laws and safety regulations for buses and fleet vehicles.
15. Maintains a record of regular attendance, arrives and departs at specified times and notifies appropriate personnel when they must be absent.
 Other Functions:
1. Perform related duties as assigned.
 Qualifications:
1. A high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Demonstrated ability to work within a team concept.
3. Demonstrated organizational skills and commitment to follow through on tasks without direct supervision.
4. A positive attitude toward children and their families.

6. Effective oral and written communication skills.
7. Criminal history fingerprint clearance through Washington State Patrol and FBI at employees expense.
8. Valid Washington State driver’s license, CDL Class B and passenger endorsement with air brake restriction removed, and OSPI certification for driving school buses

10. Must be able to pass Department of Transportation physical as required.
 Preferred Qualifications:

Terms of Employment:
This position is for the duration of a given school year approximately nine months in length with salary starting at $25.94 per hour driving

We would like to announce the opening of Substitute Custodial Sweeper positions for Castle Rock School District.  The position of substitute sweeper could serve day or swing shift.

Substitute Custodian pay is:  $22.62 per hour

There are no benefits offered except Employee Paid Sick Leave as outlined in RCW 49.46.210 

Note:  If hired, you will be required to complete a fingerprint background check at your expense as a condition of employment.  You will be required to provide proof of high school graduation or GED.

2023-24 Substitute Salary Schedule          
Number of Days	Rate of Pay	Amount
1 – 30	75% of 1/180 of base salary per day up to and including day 30.	$237.66
31 – 60	85% of 1/180 of base salary per day up to and including day 60.	$269.34
60 +	95% of 1/180 of base salary per day for the 61st day and beyond.	$296.10
Long-term in same position: Day 1 – 20	90% of 1/180 of base salary per day up to and including day 20.	$285.19
Long-term in same position: Day 21 +	100% of base salary on district salary schedule	$316.88
