POSITION TITLE: FOOD TRUCK DRIVER
LOCATION: BCHS WORKS CITYWIDE
REPORTS TO: FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR
SUMMARY: Delivers prepared food and cafeteria supplies and equipment to district schools. Assists in maintaining the central cafeteria receiving and storage area.
Maintains the BoE Freezer and Dry Commodity Storage area. Inventory for all products in the BoE warehouse to Director of Food Services and Bristol Central Lead
on a weekly basis. Picks up timesheets from all schools at the end of the pay period. Works with Summer Lunch Coordinator to deliver and pick up required items for
the summer lunch program. Works with the Assistant Food Service Director for items to be deliver to BoE and Town Hall.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Load truck and safely deliver cafeteria goods or other items to school district facilities.
Follow the delivery schedule as established by the Director of Food Services.
Maintain assigned vehicle in orderly fashion, requesting mechanical attention when needed.
Assist in physical inventories as needed.
Work closely with cafeteria staff.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Connecticut Drivers’ License required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups and other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Basic knowledge and experience with job related computer hardware and software applications.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of district requirements and Board of Education Policies.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds, such as cleaning supplies, pails and unloading trucks. Occasionally, the employee will lift heavier items
and should do so with assistance. The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, bleachers, scrubbing machines. Specific vision abilities required by this job
nclude close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works indoors and will occasionally work outdoors. The employee will work near or with moving mechanical equipment.

time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
SALARY: As per negotiated contract
