The Branch Area Careers Center (BACC) is located in Coldwater, Michigan, and provides career and technical education opportunities to over 500 students per year.  The BACC works closely with community and business partners to provide career and college readiness opportunities for secondary students and to provide a workforce for continued economic growth in Branch County.  

The Auto Body and Custom Paint Para Professional is a full time position, Monday though Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. during the school year.

Requirments:
Qualification requirements which the Para Professional must possess:
1. Education and/or certification:
   1. high school graduate
2. Experience:
   1. two years in appropriate industry and/or recognized training program from a secondary or post-secondary institution
Duties:
1. Prepare equipment, material, and supplies for student learning.
2. Take attendance.
3. Assist Program Manager with demonstrations in the classroom and in laboratory.
4. Assist or direct housekeeping assignments for students.
5. Assist Program Manager with student discipline.
6. Enforce safety rules and regulations.
7. Inventory supplies.
8. Record student progress.
9. Assist Program Manager with grading of tests, workbooks, etc.
10. Assist Program Manager with upgrading curriculum and scheduling work.
11. Assist Program Manager with maintaining equipment.
12. Assist Program Manager in processing work orders and dealing with customers.
13. Assist with the implementation of students’ individualized education and health care plans.

4. Assist with the implementation of students’ individualized health care plans, IEPs and 504 plans.
5. Organize and assist with public relations program, tours, field trips, guest speaker visits, and education school visits.
6. Maintain an active advisory committee and attend meeting as necessary.
7. Assist with recruitment activities for potential students; which includes working closely with LEA counselors. 
8. Evaluate student work and maintain accurate grades in skyward.
9. Collaborate with Education Professions year 2 program manager and technical assistant to develop a positive learning experience for all students.
10. Order and maintain school supplies and classroom materials, keeping a safe and productive learning environment.
