Provide individual and group counseling services to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
Conduct social history evaluations and functional behavioral assessments as part of Child Study Team evaluations.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources to ensure students receive necessary support.
Support attendance initiatives and interventions to improve student engagement and reduce chronic absenteeism.
Assist in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and risk assessments for students experiencing significant challenges.
Develop and implement social-emotional learning (SEL) programs to foster a positive school climate.
Maintain accurate case records and documentation in compliance with NJDOE regulations and district policies.
Participate in Child Study Team meetings, IEP meetings, and parent conferences.
Conduct home visits when necessary to assess family needs and provide additional support.
Stay current with professional development related to mental health, special education laws, and best practices in school social work.
