Culture of Care Program Coordinator
*Grant Funded position to end August 2027*
Reports to: Executive Director of 6-12
Salary: BEA Teacher Salary
Year-Round Insurance, TRA Retirement, Discretionary/Sick Days
The Culture of Care Program Coordinator will oversee the Culture of Care program in the six middle schools that is funded by a BJA STOP School Violence Program grant. This position will work closely with middle school principals, BPS Director of School Safety, and the Culture of Care Teachers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree of Higher Education
- Comparable work experience preferred
- Bilingual and/or experiences in working with diverse cultures preferred
- Prior job related experience in a school setting
- Knowledge/understanding of culturally appropriate intervention strategies
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff and outside agencies
- Valid driver's license
Essential Job Functions: - Facilitate and coordinate Culture of Care program goals and activities.
- Facilitates planning and communications. Works with the BPS Business Office Controller and Grant Writer for budgeting, data collection, and reporting.
- Facilitates and coordinates Culture of Care program goals, objectives and deliverables in partnership with the Executive Director 6-12, middle school principals, and Culture of Care Teachers.
- Facilitates the collection and analysis of data related to the Culture of Care program.
- Provides leadership in planning and executing professional development activities.
- Facilitates the selection and implementation of evidence-based resources needed to implement Culture of Care.
- Provides necessary instructional support to staff in order to provide continued improvement of student learning.
- Establishes guidelines, processes, and procedures for the Culture of Care program utilizing the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support-Behavior structure established in the middle schools.
- Coordinates and collaborates with community partners, those identified in the grant as well as new collaborations.
- Keeps informed on the latest research trends and developments in the areas of restorative practices, peer to peer support, school climate and safety, and behavioral and mental health support.
- Collaborates with preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, reviewing the grant proposal and managing data collection efforts.
- Communicates progress with BPS leadership and BJA STOP School Violence Grant coordinator.
- Supports Rachel’s Challenge and Hope Squad activities.
