Summary of position:
To instruct First Aid and CPR trainings for the Berks County Intermediate Unit

Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details):
• Instruct classes on a comprehensive program of CPR and first-aid training for all BCIU staff members as well as Berks County school districts pursuant to the requirements of Act 91 of 2000.
• Equipment set up and cleaning.
• Evaluate classroom participants.
• Complete recordkeeping and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must hold and maintain Valid and current certification to conduct CPR and First Aid training, such certification to be issued by the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or any entity approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
• Three (3) years’ experience teaching or utilizing CPR and other first aid skills required.

Schedule:
Part Time as needed, twelve months/year. Flexible schedule to include early morning, late evenings and/or weekends. 

Salary:
$35.00/hour

The custodian maintains, cleans, and assumes primary responsibility for the building areas owned and/or occupied by the Berks County Intermediate Unit.

Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details):
• Perform assigned custodial tasks ever vigilant of maintaining confidentiality regarding material seen or overheard in the course of performing job duties.
• Assume primary responsibility for ensuring that assigned building is clean and maintained per BCIU expected standards and protocols.
• Hold primary responsibility for reporting building issues to BCIU Administration.
• Provide on-site training to custodial staff on an as-needed basis as directed by the Custodial Supervisor.

Qualifications:
•  Ability to read, write, and perform simple math. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Light maintenance skills.
• Ability to operate industrial-rated cleaning equipment, perform industrial-type cleaning tasks, climb ladders, and work at heights of at least 16 feet

Schedule:
Part-time, Monday - Wed, 4-7:30 p.m., 3.5 hours/day, 10 month/year

Salary:
$16.84/hour
