Supervision: Reports to building principal
General: Objective: Manage daily operation of the library media center.
Support the Library Media Center Mission.
Manage student helpers and volunteers.
Know and support all Library Media Center procedures, policies, and expectations.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and attractive work area
Assist students and teachers to find appropriate print and electronic resources.
Maintain Library Media Collections: Objectives: assist with processing, maintaining, and organizing materials.
Process and prepare new materials for circulation and distribution. (Materials include books, magazines, databases, e-books)
Repair books as needed.
Manage shelving and filing of materials.
Circulation of Materials and Patron Management: Objectives: manage circulation of materials, collection of overdue materials, and patron attendance records.
Manage circulation of materials.
Collect lost / damaged book fees from students.
Assist with inventory of all library materials.
Assist Students with Information and Technology Needs: Objective: Supervise and assist student patrons.
Circulate in the Media Center and assist students and staff as needed.
Maintain thorough knowledge of using all facets of our Destiny - OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) and teach students how to use it to locate materials.
Maintain a familiarity with Information Media Center collections: books, websites, periodicals, e-books, databases, etc.
Assist students with technology needs: scanning; accessing and navigating databases and software programs; printing; logging in to computers; and using e-readers and eBooks,
Engage students during library visits
Administrative Support: Objective: Support administrative processes.
Assist with updating and maintaining Library Media Center webpage
Maintain library budgets
Use Skyward toorder materials and supplies for the Library Media Center.
Order books, periodicals and supplies for the library.

Beginning salary
$18.08-21.51 based on experience
