Position Title: Athletic Trainer
 
Department: Athletics

SUMMARY
Assists the athletic coaches and athletes to overcome injuries or improve sports performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops plans for providing athletic trainer coverage at athletic activities on a schedule cooperatively determined by the athletic trainer and athletic director. Establishes daily hours of operation for the athletic training room. Provides for evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries; refers athletes to medical facilities when necessary. Designs and supervises rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries under the direction of a referring physician. Responsible for developing comprehensive emergency plans for his/her specific facilities. Provides for the prevention of athletic injuries through the application of protective taping, wraps, and braces. Advises coaches of flexibility, strengthening, and conditioning programs to help prevent injuries and optimize performance. Maintains high-quality medical records on all injuries and rehabilitation procedures. Complies with all policies regarding health care delivery as indicated by District regulations. Supervises athletic training for student aides; serves as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes, and parents. Counsels athletes on health related issues including nutrition and substance abuse. Handles clerical tasks, such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, or restocking supplies. Informs the principal, athletic director, coaches of conditions and needs of the school. Performs other duties as required. J

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) Board Certification and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) Certification (is preferred)

Knowledge: Knowledge in the development, planning, organization, implementation and management of instructional programs and practices designed to meet educational objectives and requirements. Knowledge of the standards, regulations, and laws relating to educational activities. Knows how to keep abreast of changes in policy, standards, procedures, and regulations pertinent to the school.

Skills/Effort: Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with school and district staff. Ability to instruct others through explanation, demonstration and supervised practice, and/or make recommendations on the basis of technical disciplines. Ability to complete, process, and maintain required records, reports, and other information. Ability to develop and maintain effective communications with school and district employees, the school principal, and the general public. Ability to operate general office equipment such as a computer, calculator, copier, etc.

Working Conditions: School and outdoor environment with significant exposure to environmental conditions. Requires ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require considerable attention and working with students. Physical demands are restricted to school activities requiring movement/lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional local travel required; occasional overnight travel required.

Responsibility: Assists in the supervision of school staff and students.

SUMMARY: 
Provides prevention, assessment and remediation services, utilizing correct due process procedures, for any students displaying communication disorders in the areas of language, articulation, fluency and voice which adversely affect educational progress.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   
• Conducts speech language and hearing screenings as necessary.
• Adheres to established timelines for re-evaluations, annual reviews, and submissions of compliance paperwork and reports.
• Conducts assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths and concerns in area of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills.
• Follows due process procedures with regard to screening, evaluations, and placement of students into speech therapy.
• Attends and/or conducts Individualized Education Program (IEP) conferences in a professional manner with appropriate knowledge of state guidelines, district policies, and federal legislation.
• Writes and updates appropriate and effective annual and short term goals for every student on caseload.
• Acts as Team Leader for assigned students.
• Provides speech/language services as prescribed by students’ IEPs.
• Establishes and maintains a therapy schedule which is compatible to student and staff at the school.
• Keeps therapy data for program planning and decision making for individual students.
• Submits reports which meet local and state requirements.
• Maintains current files for use by authorized school personnel.
• Safeguards confidentiality of student records.
• Maintains accurate and ongoing Medicaid documentation and submits in accordance with local guidelines.
• Completes daily service notes and progress reports according to district timeline.
• Works in cooperation with school faculty for various meetings, professional development, committees, etc.
• Attends professional development opportunities as provided by the district.
• Provides information input/feedback for parents through a variety of communication techniques.
• Maintains inventory per school of assessments and equipment/materials.
• Prepares materials and provides professional development for staff needs to include augmentative or alternative communication systems or feeding as needed or per job responsibility.
• Provides services for homebound and private students, if warranted.
• Maintains mileage as appropriate and applicable.
•  Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Principal, Director of Special Programs, or Speech Program Specialist.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.

Job Summary
The job of Technology Technician is done for the purposes of providing level one support and maintaining in-house infrastructure, external services, and inter-connectivity.  This includes providing instruction and advice to system users, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and software while ensuring optimal system performance. The person will also troubleshoot problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required. 
Essential Functions
 
• Administers system security (e.g. authorization, access, read only, passwords, etc.) for the purpose of regulating access to the student information system and ensuring confidentiality of student records.
• Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the work unit.
• Coordinates installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software and peripherals, including security hardware and software as they relate to the safety and security of the campus(es) (e.g. upgrades, drivers, etc.) for the purpose of providing access to local applications by site and district users.
• Designs report options and/or database applications for the purpose of providing personnel with information customized to their specific needs.
• Develops and prepares user materials for the purpose of providing instruction and reference.
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability of required items.
• Responds to inquiries relating to computer hardware and/or software applications for the purpose of resolving problems and supporting site and district users.
• Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software and network-related problems encountered by end-users of the District network, the Internet, PCs, Macs and new computer technology.
• Uses established tracking system to log requests; monitors progress, tracks problem resolution, identifies patterns of failure, researches bug fixes and implements solutions; communicates with manager regarding unresolved problems.
• Works with vendors to resolve hardware operating system issues; researches and tests possible solutions and implements solutions.
• Cleans and maintains digital projection systems.
• Maintains the functionality of all classroom audio systems.
• Works daily to ensure mobile devices are repaired and returned to students in a timely manner so as not to impede instruction.

Knowledge of: Capabilities and limitations of various computer systems, including Promethean smart board technology; Front row classroom audio technology; the principles of information systems design, especially related to multi-protocol, multi-platform client/server environments; principles and practices of networking technologies; mastery of desktop operating systems and various software applications.  A general understanding of PreK-12 classroom dynamics.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelors’ degree in Computer Sciences or Information Systems is required. Prior experience with information systems administration and/or general IT support is highly recommended and may be used in lieu of degree in some cases. 
 
Certifications: Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT), Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT), JAMF Certified Associate or other IT industry specific certifications are preferred.
Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and good communications skills are required.  Experience maintaining and repairing IP telephony, voice routers, surveillance cameras, paging/intercom speakers are preferred.  A familiarity with mobile devices supporting both Apple iOS and OSX as well as Microsoft platforms are preferred. 
Special Requirements: Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. This position requires ladder work in excess of 10 feet.  Must also be able to tolerate confined spaces and/or summer heat. Must be able to work after hours if needed.

Description:
The Allendale County School District has an immediate opening for a School Bus Driver with a valid CDL license. The successful candidate will have experience driving a bus as well as working with children, and who has transported grade school-aged students to school in the past. Job Summary:
Drives a school bus safely and professionally, demonstrating proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus.
Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons
Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends
Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times
Obey all traffic laws
Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections of the bus before and after each route
Prepares and maintains accurate reports assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
Ensure safety of all students
Discipline children when required to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required
Other duties as assigned, and complies with all traffic ordinances.
Attends scheduled safety meetings/in-services conducted by district transportation personnel and/or state transportation officials at various intervals throughout each school year.
Reviews and complies with the specific requirements and responsibilities, which are outlined in the State Department of Education’s School Bus Drivers Handbook. 
Communicates in an appropriate fashion with students, parents, and employees.
Maintains and submits twice a year accurate R-16’s, Seating Charts and Student Information List.
Maintains good discipline in order to ensure safe school bus operations.
Performs practice drills or actual emergency bus evacuations as required.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Principal.
 
Education and Experience:
At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license and at least six (6) months licensed driving experience with a class D, E, F, or G license. Must have no more than four (4) points against driving record. License shall not have been suspended at any time in the previous five (5) years.
Physical examination required prior to initial certification and/or re-certification. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain a Commercial Drivers License and a School Bus Driver Certificate.
ALLENDALE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT BUS DRIVER REQUIREMENTS - Applicants must not have more than 4 current points on their license or more than 4 points on their license in the previous 12 months - Applicants must not have had their license suspended in the previous 12 months for a moving violation - Applicants must not be taking Insulin by injection - All Applicants will be administered a pre-employment drug screening and must be able to pass a Department of Transportation Physical exam - Upon your application being approved by our Director of Transportation, applicants must take a 20 hour State bus driving class and pass a written test - Upon completing the FMCSA physical and passing the school bus driver class, applicants must go to the DMV with their physical card in hand and take 4 written tests. We will help prepare all applicants for these 4 tests with Study materials and CDL manuals. The 4 tests are as follows: 1. General Knowledge Test (50 multiple choice) 2. Air Brake Test (25 multiple choice) 3. Passenger Endorsement Test (20 multiple choice) 4. Federal ‘School Bus’ Endorsement Test (15 multiple choice) - Upon passing these 4 tests, the candidate will be issued a Class ‘B’ Commercial Beginner’s Permit with ‘P’ and ‘S’ endorsements - Candidates must bring the new permit to the District Transportation Office. - Candidates will then be assigned a district driver/trainer and receive the actual ‘Behind The Wheel’ driving training (Min. 20 hours) in preparation for the CDL tests and the State Department of Education bus driving certificate test. - Upon becoming completely licensed, applicants will meet with our Director of Transportation, to discuss employment. 

Summary:
Under occasional supervision, drives and operates a school bus to transport students safely over specified routes established by and assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
