Job Description: Robotics / STEM classes - Jr High School
Position Summary:
The Robotics Instructor is responsible for delivering a curriculum that is organized and engaging to prepare our students' interest in technology, coding, and other STEM fields. This role involves imparting knowledge and skills related to robotics, including programming, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of robotic systems.
Area of need: Junior High grades 6-8
Part-time position.
Knowledge, Skills & Implementation:
Knowledge of operation, programming and maintenance of robotic systems
Equipped with personal integrity
Displays strong organizational and technical skills
Effective communication with administration, staff, colleagues, students and parents.
Collaboration with Instructional Coach and Curriculum Director to ensure effective learning.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the principal or other administrative staff as designated by the superintendent.
Instructional Leadership:
Teach 3 to 4 classes each day for the school year.
Prepare syllabi and daily lesson plans for above.
Utilize lectures, class demonstrations and hands-on training.
Manage the classroom with effective leadership
Serve as the coach for the competitive Robotics team during competitions.
Maintain communication with parents, as needed, throughout the school year.
Assess and provide assessment information to students in a timely manner.
Communicate special services staff for students mandated by IEPs and 504 plans, and as needed for the best outcomes for students in the program.
