Preferred Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Two years of child care or aide certification preferred.
3. Ability to obtain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
4. Able to use a computer.
5. Good organization skills.
6. Ability to work co-operatively with other personnel.
7. Ability to perform clerical skills including, but not limited to filing, copying, and record keeping.
8. Must be punctual.
9. A working knowledge of devices and equipment commonly used in public schools.
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
11. Ability to successfully complete CPR/First Aid training.
12. Ability to work with a variety of student disabilities.
13. Ability to perform all items as listed in the essential duties.
14. Experience working with children with emotional and physical disabilities preferred.
15. Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted.
16. Ability to operate wheelchairs and other mechanical devices designed to aid the student with a disability; or possess the ability to learn.
17. Ability to communicate clearly and articulately.
18. Validation of qualifications as determined by interview.
19. Other relevant criteria determined by the Board of Education, Superintendent and/or designee.
20. Ability to attend Restraint training per ORC.

General Description: 
 
Will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager and will be directed by the head custodian in the performance of duties which relate to maintaining the school buildings at a high level of cleanliness, safety and good repair.  In addition to regular cleaning duties will interact with the Custodial Manager, head custodian, building principal, district personnel, community members, students and rental groups, to insure that their needs and requirements are provided for, while promoting good public relations.  Promote health and safety practices and procedures consistent with OSHA, PERRA, ORC and OAC.
 
Qualifications:
 
1. Valid driver's license.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Experience in general cleaning and building service operations preferred.
4. Demonstrate the ability to plan and organize tasks.
5. The ability to perform minor repairs, and a willingness to work and cooperate with others.
6. Able to lift 55 pounds unassisted.
7. Able to operate, a variety of power machinery and/or tools relative to the cleaning of buildings throughout the district.
8. The ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and the ability to carry out both verbal and written directions/policies.
9. Able to perform all items as listed in the essential duties.
10. Validation of qualifications as determined by an interview.
11. Other relevant criteria as determined by the Board of Education, Superintendent and/or designee may find appropriate are acceptable.
12. Good health, high moral standards, good attendance, clean and neat apperance.
