Minimum of three years of experience in building operations or engineering, preferably in an institutional, commercial or industrial environment;
Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems;
Able to read, interpret and analyze electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics;
Computer literate and able to operate or learn to operate building automation systems (BAS);
Able to read, understand and follow complex written and oral instructions;
Able to stand, stoop, bend, climb and walk for long periods of time;
Available for emergency call response and flexible scheduling for snow removal and other duties;
Valid Illinois driver’s license;
Licensed in EPA Universal Technician Refrigeration;
Advanced craft training or apprenticeship as an electrician, plumber or HVAC technician;
Able to work in confined and/or uncomfortable areas;
Able to lift, carry and move objects weighing over 20 pounds; and
Able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
