Notes: The Food and Nutrition Services Elementary Coordinator position is done for the purpose/s of supervising food service personnel at assigned sites to perform their functions in a safe and efficient manner; providing quality food service to students, staff, and district community; ensuring safety and health standards; providing adequate and appropriate food service and meal requirements; meeting staffing needs.


Experience 
• 3-5 years of food service industry management experience with child nutrition programs, cook/chill production methods, or/and central food processing plants preferred
• Food service supervision experience required

Education
• High School Diploma
• Serv Safe Certification or ability to become certified

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
• Valid Driver’s License and evidence of insurability
• Certification by School Nutrition Association and Washington School Nutrition Association, or ability to become certified
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance

Experience Required
• Prior job related experience in preparation of large quantity food production with increasing levels of responsibility, including supervision.

Skills, Knowledge and/or abilities required
• Skills to prepare large quantity food production; perform arithmetic calculations; plan menus, operate and maintain institutional kitchen equipment; maintain inventory control, adjust recipe to various quantity demands, use standard office equipment including computer, communicate effectively, and use English in both written and verbal form.
• Knowledge of modern methods of food preparation, health codes, sanitation principles, and nutritional requirements.
• Abilities to stand for prolonged periods, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, communicate and direct other personnel. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching, reaching/handling, fingering/feeling, talking/hearing, conversations, near/far visual acuity, depth perception, visual accommodation.

Position: Refrigeration Technician
Rate: Maintenance - JOURNEYMAN (with state license)
Hours: 8 Hours, Monday – Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM.
Calendar: 260-Day
Notes: The position of Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment Technician is done for the purpose of repairing, maintaining, installing, troubleshooting and preventative/planned maintenance of district mechanical equipment including commercial coolers and freezers, dish washers and commercial food equipment in the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

Education Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational/Trade school certification in the HVAC and
• refrigeration field or five years of successful recent experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration field.
Either already possess or demonstrate ability to obtain within 90 days:  
• EPA Recognized Refrigerant Recovery License  DDC Control System Training/Certification  
• Low Voltage and/or Pneumatic Controls Training/Certification  
• WA Class IV Boiler License within 6 months of hire date
Experience Required:
• Five years recent, successful, working experience in private enterprise or government agencies as a
• Low Temperature Refrigeration Technician or completion of an approved trade school or
• apprenticeship program and three years working experience as a journeyman in related job functions.
• Experience in refrigeration components, controls, and operations required. Demonstrated leadership skills.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License and evidence of insurability.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
• Pre-employment physical required upon consideration for the position (no cost to applicant). 
Candidate must attain a combined minimum of 70% on the scored interview questions, practical essay, and resume review to be deemed to have met the minimum qualifications for the position.
