Applications being sought for a full time Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to provide instruction and case management to 5th-8th grade students on IEP’s in a cross- categorical special education program. This team member will work with a diverse team to ensure student needs are supported across the school day. This position is due to a family leave and will run January 2025 through June 2025.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
• Develop and implement individualized programs of instruction to meet the academic, social, emotional, and functional needs of students.
• Utilizing research based programs, provide specialized instruction  to address the goals and objectives documented on each student’s IEP  in the areas of literacy, math and executive functioning.
• Adapt general education curriculum and activities to meet the needs of students, supporting an inclusive environment for all students.
• Collaborate with administrators, related service providers, general education teachers and parents to support the needs of students to ensure they are receiving instruction in the least restrictive environment
• Evaluate student progress based on observations, data, and assessments, and update goals per the IEP timelines.
Qualifications: This position requires a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a Learning Behavior Speciliast 1 endorsement. Experience working as a case manager is preferred.

Applications are being sought for substitute teachers across our three schools.  The District 35 daily rate of pay for substitutes is $150.
South School (K-2)              West School (3rd-4th)                Central School (5th-8th)

Daily substitutes are sought for classroom, special education, and teacher associate positions.
Qualifications: This position requires a valid Illinois Professional Educator License or Substitute License.
