This is a full-time, twelve-month, Autism and Inclusive Education Resource Teacher position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certified Teacher of Exceptional Children with Autism Certification.

• Collaborate with IEP and classroom teams across the district.
• Aid in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans.
• Provide outreach services and learning opportunities for families (such as hosting parent information sessions and connecting families with adult service providers).
• Support families and schools with resources to complete DDDS applications.
• Support the development of student social skills.
• Model appropriate intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with state and local educational agencies to support students, staff, and families.
• Advocate for students with autism and sensory needs.
• Foster and develop relationships among students, families and community stakeholders.
• Support the District in implementing best practices and new trends in education.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Inclusive Education.
