Cass School District 63 is seeking a full-time assistant principal at Concord Elementary School beginning with the 2025-26 school year. This is an incredible opportunity in a small and excellent school district in the western suburbs of Chicago. The assistant principal will work as part of a small but dynamic district leadership team and assist the principal in the overall leadership and management functions of the school. Duties The assistant principal will uphold school, district, and Board of Education policies and procedures and perform job duties and functions in the areas of student and school safety, communications, students services and multi-tiered systems of support, supervision and discipline of students, and supervision and evaluation of staff. The assistant principal will also contribute to a highly effective building culture and climate, foster and welcome positive parental involvement, actively participate as a visible leader in school and student activities, and take an active role in day-to-day leadership of an exemplary elementary school with just under 500 students. Qualifications In addition to being a child-centered leader who works well as part of a dynamic team and staff and who believes in educational excellence for all students regardless of their backgrounds, the successful candidate must be a person of the highest professional character and personal integrity. The candidate must also possess a relevant Master's Degree from an accredited college or university and hold a Professional Educator's License with a General Administrative or Principal Endorsement, or be eligible for the endorsement at the time of application. Professional experience with children at the elementary (PreK - 4) level is strongly preferred, and successful leadership and/or relevant administrative experience is also preferred, but not required. Salary and Benefits This is a 12 month position and a regionally competitive salary and benefit package will be offered to the successful candidate. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Salary and Benefits The minimum starting base salary for the 2024-25 school year is a minimum of $17.50 per hour, plus a competitive benefits package.
