Zeeland Public Schools is in need of food service substitutes.

Summary:
The Food Service Associate will cook, serve, and clean-up in assigned area.  S/he will perform other related duties which are necessary for the efficient operation of the food service program.

Responsibilities:
 
• Prepare and serve menu items for that day.
• May perform cashiering duties.
• Required to keep accurate records per health department and MDE.
• Follow local health department guidelines on cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and equipment. 

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Sanitation & Safety and Serv Safe certificate required or must obtain within one year of employment.
• Ability to lift 55 pounds.
• Possess reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen machinery and willingness to learn operational skills for new machinery.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of and comply with state and federal regulations.
• Proven ability to project a positive attitude, manner and appearance.
• Excellent communication skills.
