Summary:
The Cityside Girls Volleyball 8B Head Coach is responsible to oversee and develop the middle school volleyball program.

Responsibilities:
• Attends athletic department meetings when scheduled. 
• Submits an annual inventory of athletic uniforms and equipment that is used by his/her team.
• Maintains professional competency by attending clinics.
• Keeps the Athletic Director informed of any or all problems, before, during, or after all sporting events.
• Encourages athletes to excel in academic work.
• Submits an End of the Season Checklist in a timely manner.
• Supports the head coach in all speech and actions and never undermines him or her.
• Oversees the safety conditions of the area when team members are practicing.
•  Enforces disciplined behavior, code of fair play, and establishes standards. Reports all incidents to the Athletic Director.
•  Establishes an effective relationship with players, parents, and administrators.
•  Attends practices, games, and meetings punctually.
•  Uses professional conduct, language, and decorum with players, opponents, officials, and fans.
•  Works with the athletic director to maintain player eligibility information.
•  Teaches individual participants in the skills necessary for the highest possible achievement in the sport involved.
•  Each practice session is planned out ahead of time.
•  Submits necessary rosters, physical forms, eligibility list forms, and training rule forms signed by the parents.
•  Is a positive role model.
•  Adheres to those rules and regulations as detailed by the MHSAA and Board of Education policies and regulations.
•  Maintains team attendance records and medical emergency cards.
•  Works to promote increased participation to improve methods, techniques, strength and endurance both in and out of season.
•  Displays self-control and maintains a positive profile with officials.
•  Provides supervision of locker room and training room.

Qualifications:
• CPR/AED, CAP Certified Concussion Protocol.

Replacement Position for 2025/26 School Year

Music Program Assistant

Summary:
The Music Program Assistant will provide assistance to the music teacher (s) to ensure a positive learning experience for students.
 
Responsibilities: 
• Assist the teacher with routine duties, large group instruction and small ensembles.
• Attend and assist with concerts, parades, festivals, solo and ensemble and other performances.  Participate in school meetings, assemblies, programs and school events.
• Provide assistance and supervise students in hallways during passing time.
• Perform clerical duties including the collection of money, grading papers, filing, processing correspondence, etc.
• Assist students by dispensing medication, perform medically related tasks, contact parents when necessary, care for sick/injured students.
• Facilitate fundraisers including communication, money collection and product distribution.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; must meet NCLB highly qualified standards.
• Music background and computer skills required.
• Must possess effective communication skills to maintain positive rapport with parents and students.
• Piano skills highly preferred.
 Schedule:
• School year, up to 6.5 hours per day
Compensation:
Level II - $14.41 - $16.87
