NOTICE OF VACANCY FOR SERVICE PERSONNEL
 
Position Title:                       
• Evening Shift Custodian – 200 days
• Peterstown Middle School
• Pending Board approval of current employees resignation
 
Job Description:
• Keep buildings and grounds clean and free of debris
• Operate heating or cooling system
• Make minor repairs
• Develop and implement with the principal a daily work schedule that maintains buildings and grounds in a clean and sanitary condition and addresses odors, particularly in the restrooms
• Develop and implement with the principal a schedule of preventative maintenance for buildings and equipment
• Submit a written daily log of problem areas within the building or on the grounds that are of a custodial or maintenance nature.  This log includes problems with equipment, cleaning, sanitation, maintaining an odor free environment, and/or pest infestation
• Maintain record of supplies and order sufficient amount that maintains a two-week supply as a minimum;
• Maintain positive work habits
• Perform duties efficiently and productively
• Maintain and/or upgrade skills
• Perform any and all other job related duties as assigned by the school principal and superintendent.
 
Qualifications:                      
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Must have passed state custodial test
 
Salary                                    
• Base Salary of $26,690
• Salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
 
Effective Date:                      
• Immediately Upon Hire

Position Title:                     Special Education Teacher- Peterstown Elementary/Peterstown Middle School -LD, BD, MI and Autism

Job Description:               Special Education Teacher to cover grade levels K-8.

Supervisor:         Principal
 
 
Job Summary:    Provide appropriate instruction to elementary/middle students and insure that the students meet the learning objectives and standards for the appropriate content and grade level.
 
Performance Responsibilities:
• Appropriate certificate to cover grade levels K-8. 
• Responsible for planning and implementing WV College and Career Readiness Standards.
• Responsible for implementing adopted and supplemental academic programs.
• Responsible for implementing technology skills.
• Responsible for planning and implementing team teaching as appropriate.
• Be accountable for individual student achievement.
• May be responsible for planning and implementing designated co-curricular activities and/or programs at the school such as curricular fairs, awards programs and filed trips.
• Strong working/communication skills with students, parents/guardians and peers.
• Willing to implement any other programs designated by principal for school improvement.
• Includes supervisory and/or other duties as assigned by Principal. 
Qualifications:
• Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels, pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2. Must be certified in Multicategorical LD,BD,MI, Including Autism.
• Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate.
• Meet the qualifications outline in WV Code §18A-3-2a.
Effective Date:                       November 13, 2024
 
Salary:                                    Base Salary $43,815 with a Bachelor’s Degree. Salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. (200 Day Employee)
